FAQ
DO YOU OFFER TELEHEALTH OR IN-PERSON APPOINTMENTS?
Absolutely! We offer both in-person and telehealth appointments, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for you. Our Darien, CT office provides a comfortable, calming environment located just off I-95. We also utilize a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform for virtual visits.
While current regulations allow us to conduct all services virtually, we have a physical location available if in-person care is ever required or preferred.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
I’m currently in-network with Optum/United Healthcare. If you have a different insurance provider, your plan may still cover my services through out-of-network benefits.
To make the reimbursement process as simple as possible, I’ve partnered with Reimbursify. This app handles all the paperwork for out-of-network claims, so you can focus on your mental health.
Before booking an appointment, you can use the following link to:
- Verify your out-of-network benefits
- Check your current deductible
- Estimate your out-of-pocket expenses
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
- Initial Psychiatric Evaluation: $350
- Follow-up Medication Visit (under 30 minutes): $200
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?
Please note that I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. I understand that things come up, but your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be subject to the full fee of the appointment.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
DO YOU PRESCRIBE MEDICATION?
Yes, as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am qualified and licensed to prescribe medication when it’s deemed appropriate for your treatment plan.
I take a collaborative approach to medication management, working with you to discuss the potential benefits and risks of different medications, ensuring you’re comfortable and informed every step of the way.
HOW OFTEN DO WE NEED TO MEET?
The frequency of our appointments will be tailored to your specific needs and treatment goals. In the beginning, we may meet more often – typically monthly to build a strong foundation for our work together, conduct a comprehensive assessment, and create a personalized treatment plan.
As you make progress and your symptoms improve, we can gradually decrease the frequency of our sessions. This might mean transitioning to bi-monthly appointments or even less frequent check-ins, depending on your individual situation.
Remember, flexibility is key throughout the process. We can always adjust the frequency of our sessions based on your unique needs and progress. Please feel comfortable communicating any concerns or requests for adjustments at any time. My goal is to ensure you’re receiving the right level of support at every stage of your journey.
